The North Dakota State women's basketball team fell at Western Illinois , 88-66, on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 24, inside Western Hall. With the loss, the Bison fall to 9-11 overall and 5-3 in Summit League play, while the Fighting Leathernecks improve to 12-8 and 4-3 in league play.
NDSU Stumbles at Fort Wayne, 77-71

The North Dakota State men's basketball team cut a 16-point deficit down to three points in the second half, but Fort Wayne held on for a 77-71 victory in Summit League play at the Gates Sports Center on Saturday evening. IPFW opened up a 16-point lead at 49-33 with 13:49 remaining, but NDSU responded with a 10-0 run to trim the margin to six.
Big second-half lifts Eastern Washington over UND

Eastern Washington displayed its scoring prowess in the second half after getting off to a slow start, pulling away to knock off North Dakota 102-80 in Big Sky men's basketball action Saturday at Reese Court. UND led by six at halftime, but the Big Sky-leading Eagles shot 74 percent from the field in the second half to outscore the visitors 67-39.
Balanced scoring leads UND to season sweep over CC

UND senior Mark MacMillan might be the leading candidate for the Hobey Baker Award as the nation's best hockey player if he could play against Colorado College every weekend. MacMillan scored his seventh goal in four games against the Tigers this season on Saturday night and his 10th in 16 career games against them to lead North Dakota to a 5-3 National Collegiate Hockey Conference victory and a series sweep.
